Mood-Food Pattern Finder
| Day | Mood (1–5) | Food quality (1–5) |
|---|
How to use this tool
Each day, rate your overall mood (1 = very low, 5 = very good) and your food quality (1 = mostly processed, 5 = mostly whole foods). After 3+ days you'll see a correlation number. After 14+ days the result becomes meaningfully reliable.
What science says
Diet-mood associations are documented in observational and randomized trials. A Mediterranean-pattern diet has shown moderate improvement in depressive symptoms in the SMILES trial (Jacka et al., 2017). Highly processed food intake is associated with higher rates of depression in cohort studies. Mechanisms include gut microbiome modulation, inflammatory pathways, and stable blood glucose.
